How can perfumes and cologne not stain your clothes?

Well, some of them are clear and therefore won’t stain anything. Otherwise, the colors are usually really light, and you only spray a little bit on at a time. If you poured a bottle of perfum on your white shirt then I guess it would stain. But one spritz won’t do much.
