I baught a 26$ “Dior” perfume. It looks so real. What makes it fake? Is it diluted or something?

Are you talking bout Canal Street in New Orleans? It is probably a good perfume or maybe it survived the Hurricane Katrina and it got overheated as the city was without electricity for a while.

It’s fake in that it’s not sanctioned by the maker of the products. The materials will range from decent to downright cheap.

As for the perfume, the formula is a close approximation of the product, but not exactly.

You can get some pretty good copies of high end products there, and at decent prices. Definitely a sort of market in itself - you need to know your stuff to get decent stuff there.

    Good luck!

Most of the perfumes at the stands are fake. Some aren’t, check the spelling carefully sometimes there is a slight difference. Now if you want to buy the real thing, next time go to the perfume wholesalers they sell to the public. There are about 15 shops on Broadway between 33 street and 27 street. These are legitimate stores. They are all competing against one another so shop around. The more you buy, they more they will take off. I do all my Christmas shopping there. Don’t buy on the street most are knock offs (slang for fake).
