Do you think that perfumes and colognes containing “pheremones” really work?

    I think if you wear something that promises it has pheramones in it, you’re going to expect those to be working, which in turn will affect your body language and your own internal chemestry set, sending off those signals that then get attributed to the “special” scent.

    but seriously - if your friend believes it and gives ehr confidence it is a funny self-fulfilling prophecy

    The allegation that the perfume contains phermones may not even be true. It’s the placebo effect again. If they think it’s in there, they will act more confident, thus attracting more people because they are smiling more, which is proven to attract the opposite sex. It doesn’t work. Pen & Teller the magicians have a show called “bullshit” and they showed that it doesn’t make a difference, and it’s fake.
