It is perfectly ok to use perfumes for underarms but perfumes aren’t antiseptic in comparison to deodrants. Deodrants are perfumed antiseptics to cut down odor after physical activity.

A deodorant masks odours - just a bit like perfum does. Difference is that deodorant usually contains a lot of other chemicals that e.g. moisturize your skin etc. etc. Perfume is just scent.
antiperspirants (often combined in deodorants) stop you from perspiring. They’ve received some health warnings in the past so do be careful with those.

ur friend is right….u must use a deo on ur underarms, coz deos are specially formulated to conceal body odour but with a mild scent to it. anti- perspirants are formulated to prevent sweating…
if u use a perfume on ur underarms then it is gonna mingle with ur body odour n may give out an unpleasant odour…. perfumes are usually applied on areas where the blood flow is rapid like the spots behind ur ears, on ur wrists, on the neck etc….the perfume begins to evaporate under ur body temperature n gives out a pleasant scent….hope that helps u…
