Why do people buy brand name perfumes?

I really can’t see the reason for over rated BO. Any way, people want to have the most expensive things to be noticed and envied. It’s part of that whole human nature junk. Hope it helped.
they tend to have more oils that help the perfumes stay on longer. cheaper fragnances dont last as long b/c of the high alcohol content. they are very watered down. there is also a difference b/w eau de toilette and eau de parfum. …eau de toilette is oil…and parfum is alcohol. the eau de toilette tends to stay on longer. so basically people by brand name perfumes (not only b/c of the name..but b/c they tend to stay on longer) good luck in ur class
Sorry don’t know of any studies, but the smell just doesn’t compare to any knock off, or Avon junk. After wearing brand name perfumes, a woman can smell cheap perfume on someone.
People buy name brand perfumes because normally they are of better quality and will last longer. It also smells better and more “elegant,” not cheap. For example, Burberry is going to last longer than Bath & Body Works and Burberry is going to have a more sophisticated smell than Bath & Body.
because they smell better and last longer. Most knock offs have a lot of alcohol in them.I think some just feel better knowing that they have the real thing. Would you rather have a fake relationship or the real thing?
