Does anyone else hate the smell of ANY and ALL perfumes?

perfumes
Mercury asked:

I hate perfume, toilette water, cologne, etc… I think people smell great when they are shower fresh clean. Who needs those musky, pungent, headache inducing scents polluting the air.? Just one big cash cow industry anyway. Perfume is no longer necessary in modern society.

My biggest problem with perfume is that people have to bathe in it, and it gives me the most horrendous headaches. I truly sympathized with that woman who took a court case all the way to the supreme court because she had to leave a job because of a co-worker’s massive use of perfume. I also quit a job because of someone who poured it on daily…nauseous.

You obviously haven’t smelt the Guess perfume I have…..

That’d make you have second thoughts on your perfume view.

However, cheap cheap perfume, or when people bathe in perfume/cologne does annoy me and give me BAAAAD headaches.

I am allergic to all chemicals used for scenting products. I can’t even walk down the laundry detergent aisle at the grocery store.

And what’s up with you women (and some of you men) using a half-gallon of that foo-foo juice, anyways?!?

If people ate a better diet, they wouldn’t smell so bad, and wouldn’t need to cover up their odors caused by the foul foods they eat. Processed foods are toxic, and you smell the body’s attempt to rid the toxins through the skin.

People: eat right and smell good!

I disagree. I love perfumes… Honestly when i go outside, i either end up smelling like the coffee shop or the guy smoking next to me at the bus stop. a lightly scented perfume like “cashmere mist” [EDP] really makes me smell better than either smoke or coffee shop. And a beautiful scent makes me feel so much better through out the day.

Just certain ones. I’m allergic to those certain ones.
But how do you tell someone you’re allergic to certain
ones and the name of them? Last time I tried to do that,
the person thought I was saying I was allergic to shoulders that are white. That’s not what I was saying, at all. But that theory and the fact I’m a white/caucasaion man confused the person. I went on to explain that there’s a perfume (or at least there used to be) called (brand name or formula name?) White Shoulders. See how confusing some brand names can be?

Well I like wearing perfume but not too much. I just spritz some behind my ears, on my wrists and on my ankles. Just a bit so that it lingers but isn’t over powering.

i disagree. Perfume is good to be used. some perfumes are a bit to strong, and just shouldnt be made. but, perfume really does make a differnece. if you have a good perfume on, and people smell it, there is an attractiveness to it.

ew what i really hate is too much AXE on guys..
there’s a line between smelling good and and smelling too good to the point where you have a headache and too much of it actually ends up smelling like more B.O?
    yuck!

actually, i love perfumes. i don’t think anybody really needs them, but a light lingering scent jus makes me feel pretty. On adaly basis i usually wear scented lotions because the smells are more natural plus they keep ur skin nice and soft. i understand that some people hate perfumes, but that could just be because they’ve seen lots ofpeople that pile in on, and thats more nauseating than attractive. My point is that i put it on because i like it, not only cuz i want others to smell it
